The Dead on Hart Island

Background
This project is a poster for a made up broadway show. The campaign comes with a vertical poster for the bus shelter, a horizontal poster for the subway station, and a digital banner.
Idea
I was researching on the Hart Island Project and the photos of inmates working on the island gave me the inspiration to create a story with spirits interacting with inmates in order to find life's purpose. I thought of using a lamp as connection to the two worlds, smoke being the spirits and the inmate holding the lamp to show their connection. The lamp also meant to show light in darkness, giving the indication that there is still hope in the characters' life.
